Starting a Blog...Am I Crazy?

My first post...starting a blog wasn't even on my radar a week ago, but I have been working on some things that are too long for social media posts, and I suppose this may be useful in a few years if I get some of my many projects completed.

A little about me: I am the "retired" homeschool mom of three girls, all who are currently in college at the same time.  Before having children, I spent about a year and a half teaching 4th/5th grade and pre-k. My husband and I have been active in local politics for about 20 years, although we are currently only helping good friends who we trust in their campaigns and are stepping back a bit in this crazy stage of life.

My work consists of helping my girls with social media for their books and Etsy shops, working a little Etsy shop myself, audio editing my oldest daughter's latest book, and working on a few book projects of my own. We have a Constitution small group study book already written, but a leader's guide is in the works, and also a homeschool resource book aimed at helping raise critical thinkers.  My youngest has also encouraged me to try my hand at fiction writing, because there are several historical fiction stories I would like to see written about some of my ancestors...and she thinks I can do it.  We will see.

In the meantime, I will probably be using this blog to review some of the books I have been reading as background research for my resource book.  Some of them are books I have read before, some were popular when my kids were growing up, but I skipped them for one reason or another.

Until next time...
